![]() On 31 December 2004, the Ft. Worth Can! Academy picked up the 1996 E-150 Hi-Top Conversion Van that we donated to this organization. Here we are preparing the van for towing. The van was fully functional - not sure why the preferred method of transport is via a service. |
![]() These rigs always amaze me. I know from experience how heavy these vans are. In fact, I broke a jack trying to change a tire on this van a few years ago - had to use a hydraulic lift. Yet this machine pulled the van onto its bed like it was nothing. The replacement vehicle, another Hi-Top Conversion Van, is visible at the right center of the picture. |
![]() So we say goodbye to an old friend. This van was the best vehicle I have ever owned from a reliability point of view. Lots of family memories were made during the 150,000 miles we put on the van over a seven year period. But if the proceeds from the sale of the van can give some folks a second chance at life, then we are grateful to be part of the process. |
