The first annual Angel Adventure 5k walk was held the morning of Saturday, 04 November 06 at
Trinity Park in Ft. Worth.
The beneficary of this event is the National Brain Tumor Foundation (NBTF), a national non-profit health organization dedicated to providing information and support for brain tumor patients, family members, and healthcare professionals, while supporting innovative research into better treatment options and a cure for brain tumors.
Although the NBTF is the financial beneficary today, I believe that all in attendance benefitted from a healthy dose of hope and encouragement the moment we traversed the balloon arch and gathered together for a common cause.
Meeting old friends again for the first time.
Everyone here this morning has a story to tell, a story of hope and a search for the cure. Survivors wear red. Family, caregivers and friends don white shirts. The NBTF provides these items, but some teams elect to develop their own custom shirts.
Out back, a raffel area has been setup where you can enter to win one of many valuable gifts. Everything from iPods to teeth whitening!
